Jim and Kelly Welles are the owners of NM HUNTCO/JFW Ranch Consulting, LLC, with Justin Hendricks serving as manager. Together, they bring decades of knowledge, experience, and firsthand understanding of hunting throughout New Mexico. From navigating the state’s competitive public draw system to identifying quality private-land opportunities, the NM HUNTCO team is committed to helping clients pursue exceptional hunting opportunities across the state.
Jim’s extensive experience includes hunting and evaluating many of New Mexico’s premier big-game ranches, as well as hunting throughout the majority of the state’s public-land game management units. Over the years, he has developed longstanding relationships with landowners and gained an in-depth understanding of New Mexico’s diverse hunting opportunities, wildlife management practices, and landowner programs. Jim remains closely informed on policies and management strategies established by the New Mexico State Game Commission and the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish. His experience also includes serving on the original Landowner Sign-Up System Committee and the A-Plus Task Force, giving him valuable firsthand knowledge of programs that have helped shape big-game management and hunting opportunities in New Mexico.
Justin, Jim, and Kelly are supported by a select team of professional guides whose experience, local knowledge, and dedication are at the heart of NM HUNTCO. Our guides spend countless days in the field scouting, hunting, and learning the country they guide. NM HUNTCO strives to provide all clients with a one of kind New Mexico hunting experience. We specialize in customizing outfitted public land and private land Elk, Deer, Antelope, Big Horn Sheep, Oryx and Ibex hunts in the beautiful ‘Land of Enchantment’ a.k.a New Mexico. In addition and more importantly, we consult on the New Mexico landowner hunting permit system and will secondly assist with the New Mexico public hunting application system. We are permitted by government agencies in 85% of the state but if we don’t have what you desire for your New Mexico hunting experience, we will certainly help you find the hunt that fits you through the network of relationships we’ve built over the years with other outfitters in New Mexico.
